Über die Arbeit
I am mainly intrigued in redefining and extending the notion of kinetic movement throughout
cultural context and mechanical formative material.
First of all, I am focusing on the interactive movement in between mechanical motion and
audience mobilizing.
The correlation between the status of objects, the viewers and the occurrence of tension from
the specific of given space is important in my experimentation. In the process, these tensions
appear form of sound, mechanical motion, and implication of movement. This result in the
viewers experience becomes more tangible, interactive, in communication, and participation
both physical and psychological aspects.
To realize this, I use multiple elements that comprise found objects, recycled elements, and
everyday objects that are carefully manipulated, painted, and rearranged. The refining and
adding to a growing vocabulary of the form is accentuated by elements being rejoined and
recycled from one sculpture to another. These improvisatory elements within my approach
enable to the work to be accessible to multiple interpretations, the non-authoritarian and the
infinitely playful.
