BeschreibungOn the recto is a weak study for the torso and arms of the youth carrying a chest, painted in the lower left corner of the canvas, along with a faint sketch of the raised arm of the adjacent figure bearing a sack on his shoulder. The drawings on the verso (catalogued as the recto by Schaar) are more incisive. Above is a study for the cloak wrapped around Zechariah´s left arm and shoulder, almost superimposed by the study below of the sack bearer´s arm, which was faithfully translated into paint. Maratti studied the same arm in a drawing preserved in Berlin, Kupferstichkabinett.
