Wissenschaftler bauen eine Weltraumarche, auf der sich knapp vor der Katastrophe unter dramatischen Umständen ausgewählte Menschen auf einen paradiesischen Planeten retten können. Der Science-Fiction-Film weist gute technische Spezialeffekte und einen dramaturgisch klug vorbereiteten Katastrophenhöhepunkt auf. Die Darstellung der menschlichen Konfliktsituationen ist nicht von gleicher Qualität.
