This film is a remake of one scene from the well-known Hollywood film 'The Sound of Music'. The main idea of this old movie is to find a way of happiness in communication and understanding of the others. One of the most important parts of the film was a bicycle walk. The main idea of the film, is teaching children in singing. We have found the tape of this film in our residence in Umea and have decided to make our work as a homage to this city. We have invited different Umea citizens (children, students, old men, bosses and housewives) to take part in our action. All of them went on bicycles and sang a song 'Do-Re-Mi' from this film. The 'Whites' - we in our special chemical protection overalls have headed a procession. We tried to create a song in which each voice is important. We did our best and sometimes a song really appeared of separate voices. But it happened seldom. Our video is about difficulty to reach a true communication and at the same time it is necessary to understand one's own voice and to merge it with the voices of other people. (Egorova / Pershina)
