Über die Arbeit
Israeli artist Boaz Tal has been active and highly influential in the field of photography in Israel since the 1980s. Tal's work in recent years is concerned mainly with the dimension of time, with annihilation and fading. The vicissitudes of time and their expression in the immediate surroundings are examined by Tal through symbolic images and their affinity to traditional genres: the still life, portraits, the body in movement, confrontation between the young and older, and relating to signs of whithering and decay in nature and in the human body. Tal often relates to themes taken from the History of Art.
