Description#flashbackfriday 16.04.2021Obwohl nach dem Krieg noch Not herrschte, gab es bereits wieder Modenschauen in Deutschland, so auch in Düsseldorf. Das Foto ist Zeugnis einer Modenschau im Schloss Benrath im April 1949. Düsseldorf war nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg sogar die wichtigste Modestadt in Westdeutschland. Heute ist dies zwar wieder Berlin, jedoch kann Düsseldorf immer noch als Modestadt bezeichnet werden, da hier circa 33.000 Beschäftigte im Bereich „Mode und Beauty“ arbeiten und diese Branche 8,2% der Düsseldorfer Wirtschaftsleistung erzielt.

Although there was still hardship after the war, there were already fashion shows again in Germany, including in Düsseldorf. The photo is evidence of a fashion show in Benrath Palace in April 1949. After the Second World War, Düsseldorf was even the most important fashion city in West Germany. Today it is Berlin again, but Düsseldorf can still be described as a fashion city, as around 33,000 employees work here in the "fashion and beauty" sector and this industry generates 8.2% of Düsseldorf's economic output.
