Über die Arbeit
Every day is full of changes. Whether small or big ones they prove that we are living in a ever changing enviroment. Each of these changes is a small miracle: the way the small seed grows to become a mighty tree, the water that vaporate to become a cloud, a love between two persons to become a child. There are ways to explore these changes, and there are natural processes that can be recreated as a artistic form.
I explore natural forms and processes in my work and during the whole of my artistic practice have been occupied with the processual instinct in artistic work. Process in the form of the dissolution of the sculptural material, of the changes in its state that take place in a given period of time. Poetry of movement, changes, time and all consequences they can bring are my primary concern. Therefore I use any and every kind of technique, material or media to bring up some of contemporary or eternal questions that trouble an individual as well as the society in general.
Very often I connect sculpture, process and video which are exhibited as one unique work. Video is used as a witness of the change that has happened in the body of sculpture during the given period of time. Video is usually filmed in real time, but in few cases the speed of filming is changed for the reason of making the process more visible and clear.
