"The shorts contained in this collection were digitally mastered from the best available source elements. Most of the shorts were transferred from 35mm Nitrate Fine Grain picture and soundtrack elements. Where the Nitrate material no longer existed, alternate sources were sought. Although 35mm safety material was found on a few subjects, certain shorts unfortunately now exist only in 16mm print form. Although the picture quality on the 16mm material is marginal at best, we felt that the entertainment value of these shorts made them musts for inclusion in the program."
