AusstellungstextDutch glass design from the 1920s to the 1970s has a character of its own. Form and decoration indulge neither in formalism nor in decoration, but focus on the needs of the customer. The exhibition at glasstec 2022, the world’s largest fair of glass technology in Düsseldorf, presents nine vessels that represent serial production, the “Unica” program, and the studio glass scene. The Glasmuseum Hentrich at the Kunstpalast in Düsseldorf owns about 1,000 works of Dutch design and art. Almost all of these were donated by the collectors Helen Knecht-Drenth and Tijmen Knecht to the museum.
