BiographyRuud Gielens studierte Regie in Brüssel. Nach dem Abschluss entwarf er Bühnenbilder, Videodesigns, führte Regie und trat selbst als Schauspieler auf - unter anderem an der Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz und am Deutschen Nationaltheater in Weimar. Gielens war seit 2005 Teil der künstlerischen Leitung der Koninklijke Vlaamse Schouwburg in Brüssel.
