Chikahiro führte das gô Chôkôsai und verwendete gelegentlich das kaô aki. Wahrscheinlich gehörte er der Tomochika-Gruppe an. Ein 1861 datierter Pinselbecher gibt einen Anhaltspunkt für seine Schaffenszeit (MCI, S. 21). Er fertigte große, okimono-hafte Netsuke und manjû.
