HANS MEMLING

Date1950-1970
Description"Part of a Series about Flemish painters of the Golden Era (ca. 1500 -1600). Carefully the voice-over guides you through a number of important paintings created in this era of prosperity. Though many of the short films lack a real start, the collection seems to be coherent. The chosen artists are more or less living in the same time-spacial context of the Golden Era. This episode lacks a title or an introduction whatsoever. Hans Memling (1430-1494) appears to be the main subject of the film, but Peter Paul Rubens, Quinten Metsijs, Joos van Cleve, Jan Van Eyck, Hugo van der Goes also make their way into the short movie."
